free, free from hygienic responsibility
so tired,
but very excited.
have started planning for my dissertation and ARHC proposal
now that i am not working full-time at the cinema any more.
Granted, this has only been for a week,
but the gruelling conditions of SIDF
are really draining.
i am now just grateful that the self-perpetuating
tubs of vaseline that are the London Media
have skulked back to their porcelain-panelled hives.
it is very easy to hate the physical presence of The Media,
but there were a few very pleasant people.
so now i am (back) to books and such.
such also being the bared chest and animal livers that were being exposed
during the set of Kevin Blechdom on Thursday.
it is very odd for Sheffield,
which prides itself on its electronic heritage,
for it to actually have a decent electronica gig to show for itself.
(actually, i am doing an injustice,
as recently the C90 people are doing more ambitious things,
as are Razor Stiletto and KHLA)
anyway, i enjoyed all and was amazed truth told.
so many people with so many balls doing so many sounds that are so many types of good.
the fact that Kevin Blechdom proceeded to rub her tits with liver
and it not to seem desperate or deliberately perverse,
yet quite quite natural in the circumstance,
is testament to how confidently audacious it all was.
more people should make better music.
